    EXAMİNİNG OF THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN THE MOTIVATIONAL LANGUAGE USED BY SCHOOL ADMINISTRATORS AND THE BURNOUT LEVELS OF PRESCHOOL TEACHERS

    The purpose of this study is to identify the relationship between the motivational language used by school administrators and teachers' burnout according to the perceptions of preschool teachers. The study was designed in a relational survey model. The sample of the study consists of 276 volunteer preschool teachers working in Düzce province in 2022-2023. The data were collected through a demographic information form consisting of three sections prepared, Motivational Language Scale adapted into Turkish by Özen (2013) in the section two, and Maslach Burnout Scale Educator Form adapted into Turkish by İnce and Şahin (2015) in the section three. Because the data were normally distributed, t-test, one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA), Pearson correlation test, and simple linear regression analysis were performed. As a result of the study, it was seen that preschool teachers' perceptions of school administrators' use of motivational language were at a moderate level. It was determined that preschool teachers' perceptions of belongingness-creating language, encouraging language, and directive language in the sub-dimensions of motivational language used by school administrators were at a moderate level. In the sub-dimensions of burnout levels of preschool teachers, it was determined that they perceived emotional exhaustion at a medium level, depersonalization, and personal achievement at a low level. As the use of motivational language by school administrators increased, emotional exhaustion of preschool teachers decreased, and personal achievement levels increased. The motivational language used by school administrators did not have a significant relationship with the depersonalization of preschool teachers. It was concluded that school administrators' use of motivational language significantly predicted the emotional exhaustion and personal accomplishment sub-dimensions of preschool teachers' burnout, but not the depersonalization sub-dimension.

    Okul Müdürlerinin Baş Etmekte Zorlandıkları Öğretmen, Öğrenci ve Veli Kaynaklı Sorunlar

    Bu çalışmanın amacı, okul müdürlerinin öğretmen, öğrenci, veli kaynaklı karşılaştıkları sorunları belirlemek, deneyimlerini ve çözüm önerilerini incelemektir. Çalışmada nitel araştırma desenlerinden biri olan durum çalışması kullanılmıştır. Araştırma, 2022 yılının Temmuz-Ağustos aylarında, Düzce ilinde bulunan yedi ilkokul, beş ortaokul, üç ilkokul-ortaokul müdürü olmak üzere toplam 15 okul müdürü ile yürütülmüştür. Çalışma grubunun seçiminde amaçlı örnekleme yöntemlerinden biri olan maksimum çeşitlilik örneklem yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Araştırmada nitel veri toplama yöntemi olarak yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme soruları kullanılmıştır. Görüşmeler sonucu ile elde edilen veriler nitel veri analizi türlerinden olan içerik analizi ile çözümlenmiştir. Araştırma sonunda, okul müdürlerinin baş etmekte zorlandıkları öğretmen tutum ve davranışları temasında, iletişim sorunları ve iş etiği alt temaları; veli tutum ve davranışları temasında, iletişim sorunları, güven sorgulamaları ve ilgisiz veli tutumları alt temaları; öğrenci tutum ve davranışları temasında, iletişim sorunları, davranış sorunları, disipline edilemeyen öğrenciler ve ilgisiz öğrenciler alt temalarına ulaşılmıştır. Genel olarak tüm sorunların çözümü için, öncelikle okul müdürü, problemi doğru tespit edebilmeli, problemleri çözmeye niyeti olmalı ve çözüm odaklı bir yaklaşım sergileyebilmelidir.
