Urgent and appropriate treatment is necessary and also underlying cause must berevealed. Rarely, foreign body aspiration may cause this condition. Although it can be occurredin children under 3 years old, our patient was 9 years old and his neurodevelopment wasappropriate for his chronological age. We mention the possibility of foreign body aspiration inchildren who have intractable lung infections and complications like pneumothorax andsubcutaneous emphysema in any age group not only toddlers
