Öğe Yoğun Bakım Ünitesinde Hemşirelik Tanılarının Belirlenmesi ve Nanda Tanılarına Göre Değerlendirilmesi(Düzce Üniversitesi, 2015) Akın Korhan, Esra; Hakverdioğlu Yönt, Gülendam; Demiray, Ayşe; Akça, Aliye; Eker, AynurThis study was conducted for the purpose of determining the nursing diagnoses in the nursing care plans of patientswho had been treated in the past year in an adult general intensive care unit, and of evaluating the diagnoses accordingto their conformity to the diagnoses of the North American Nursing Diagnosis Association (NANDA). This descriptiveand retrospective study was carried out in the general intensive care unit of a university hospital. The sample consistedof the nursing care plans of 277 patients who were in the intensive care unit between 1 November 2011 and 1 November2012. Data collection was performed using a form created by the researchers, the first part of which contained questionson the patients’ personal and medical diagnoses, while the second part contained 2009-2011 NANDA nursing diagnosislists grouped according to Gordon’s Functional Health Patterns. Data was evaluated as numerical and percentagedistributions. In the care plans examined, it was established that total of 26 different nursing diagnoses were recordedby nurses, of which two described collaborative problems, and that certain diagnoses contained errors in standardterminology in their diagnostic statements. When these diagnoses were examined, it was determined that the mostcommon diagnoses were of inadequate information (89.5%), risk of infection (85.9%), and inadequate personal care(34.7%). It was found that there were no nursing diagnosesin the patient care plans relating to sexuality andreproduction or to beliefs and values. According to theresults of this study, it may be said that nursing care planswere used in the intensive care unit, but that the diagnosesdetermined in the nursing care plans were insufficient whenthe nursing care needs of a patient receiving treatment inthe intensive care unit are considered; neglecting the stressexperienced by the patient and psychosocial domains, which focuses on the physiological area and said not aholistic assessment of patient care
