Determination of Bacillus zhangzhouensis Bacterial Strain and Effects of GA3 on Germination of Acacia cyanophylla (Lindley) Seeds

Golden wreath wattle (Acacia cyanophylla Lindley) is one of the important species used both aesthetically and functionally in arid and semiarid regions. It is one of the species that will increase its use in urban open green areas in our country due to climate change. In this study, the effects of Bacillus zhangzhouensis (KF3A) bacterial strain and gibberellic acid (GA3) on the germination of seeds of this species, which is in the outdoor ornamental plants group, in glass petri dishes under laboratory conditions were investigated. Bacillus zhangzhouensis strain, which has recently come to the fore in biological fertilization and is in the plant growth promoting bacteria (PGPB) group, is an active bacterial strain in nitrogen fixation, ACC deaminase properties and siderophore production. Gibberellic acid is a hormone that promotes seed germination. The effects of KF3A and GA3 at 500 ppm concentration on germination speed and percentage parameters, when used together and separately, were revealed in the germination of Golden wreath wattle seeds, which are frequently used in landscape design studies.
