Öğe Determining Postgraduate Education and Career Preferences of Midwifery Students: A Mixed Method Study(Düzce Üniversitesi, 2020) Amanak, Keziban; Şeker, Sibel; Çitil Canbay, Funda; Esen, EsraAim: The researchwas done to determine postgraduate education and career preferences ofmidwifery students.Material and Methods: The research was done in mixed method. The sample was constituted by270 students suitable for the research inclusion criteria and accepting toattend the study. The sample of the qualitative part was formed by 8 studentschosen through purposeful sampling method. The research data was collectedthrough “Personal Information Form”, “Career Futures Inventory” and “Semi-StructuredInterview Form”. Descriptive statistics, independent samples t-test and one-wayanalysis of variance (Bonferroni test) were used in quantitative data analysis,and content analysis was used in qualitative data analysis.Results: Asignificant difference was found between total mean scores of Career FuturesInventory and grade level of students (p lt;0.05) and this stemmed fromfreshmen midwifery students. Statistically significant differences wereidentified in the sub-dimension mean scores of career adaptability for lovingthe profession and in career optimism sub-dimension for choosing the professionof midwifery (p lt;0.001). It was identified that this difference stemmed fromthe states of loving the profession much and university entrance exam scores.In qualitative data it was found that the most effective factors in graduateeducation and career plan formation of the students were respectively family,society, perceived level of income and instructors.Conclusion: The common results gained from the research revealed that the studentsdid not have adequate knowledge about their career plans; however, they had amodern attitude towards their professional roles.Öğe The Relationship between Problem Solving Skills and Self Efficacy Proficiency Levels of Midwifery Students(Düzce Üniversitesi, 2019) Amanak, Keziban; Demirkol, İlayda; Kuru, ZelihaAim:The aim of this study was to investigate the relationship between self efficacyproficiency levels and problem solving skills of midwifery students.Material and Methods: This analytical and cross-sectional study wasconducted with 310 midwifery students during the fall semester of 2018-2019academic year at Adnan Menderes University, Faculty of Health Sciences,Midwifery Department. In the collection of data; Demographic Information Form,Problem Solving Inventory and Self Efficacy Scale were used. Data were analyzedusing SPSS 18.0 software. The data were evaluated by One-way Analysis ofVariance (post-hoc Scheffe test) and Pearson's Correlation tests. Results: The mean age of the students was 21.13 ± 2.56. It was determined thatthe mean score of the students in the problem solving inventory decreased asthe grade level students were studying (p=0.029). It was observed that the meanscores of self efficacy proficiency scores of the students were quite close toeach other, but this difference was not significant. In the study, asignificant negative correlation was found between the students' problemsolving skills and self efficacy proficiency (p lt;0.001).Conclusion: Therewas a negative correlation between problem solving skills and self efficacyproficiency levels of the students, and there was no difference inself-efficacy proficiency levels. Based on these results, it can be suggestedthat different studies should be conducted to compare the problem solvingskills of the midwifery students and self efficacy competencies in differentsample groups, and to add elective courses that will contribute to thedevelopment of problem solving skills in the midwifery education curriculum.Öğe Üriner İnkontinansı Olan ve Olmayan Kadınların Yaşam Doyumu ve Sosyal Kaygı Düzeylerinin Karşılaştırılması(2020) Sevil, Ümran.; Amanak, KezibanAmaç: Bu araştırma üriner inkontinansı olan ve olmayan kadınların yaşam doyumu ve sosyal kaygı düzeylerininkarşılaştırılması amacıyla yapılmıştır.Gereç ve Yöntemler: Araştırma üriner inkontinansı olan 56, üriner inkontinansı olmayan 56 olmak üzere toplam 112kadın ile kesitsel, vaka-kontrol araştırma tipinde yapılmıştır. Araştırma Şubat 2017-Şubat 2018 tarihleri arasında İzmirilinde bulunan bir devlet hastanesinin kadın doğum polikliniklerinde yürütülmüştür. Araştırmanın verileri anket formu,Yaşam Doyumu Ölçeği ve Liebowitz Sosyal Kaygı Ölçeği kullanılarak toplanmıştır. Veriler ki-kare, t testi ve Spearmankorelasyon analizi ile değerlendirilmiştir.Bulgular: Araştırmada üriner inkontinansı olan kadınların (16,1 ± 5,8) olmayan kadınlara göre (25,2 ± 3,6) YaşamDoyumu Ölçeği puan ortalamalarının daha düşük olduğu ve bu farkın istatistiksel olarak önemli olduğu bulunmuştur.Ayrıca üriner inkontinansı olan kadınların sosyal kaygı ve sosyal kaçınma alt boyutları ile Liebowitz Sosyal KaygıÖlçeği toplam ölçek (40,7 ± 21,9) puan ortalamaları, üriner inkontinansı olmayan kadınlara (toplam: 29,9 ± 17,8) göreistatistiksel olarak anlamlı derecede yüksek bulunmuştur.Sonuç: Bu çalışmada üriner inkontinansı olan kadınların, olmayanlara göre yaşam doyum düzeylerinin daha düşük,sosyal kaygı düzeylerinin ise daha yüksek olduğu görülmüştür. Bu sonuçlara yönelik olarak özellikle birinci basamaktaçalışan sağlık çalışanları, üriner inkontinansın kadın yaşamındaki olumsuz sonuçlarını bilerek; gelişimini önlemeli,kadınları sağlık kuruluşuna yönlendirmeli ve bu sorunu yaşayan kadınların tanı ve tedavisinde etkin olarak görevalmalıdırlar.Anahtar Keli
