    In this article, named “The transformation from modernism to postmodernism in the context of photography and the representation crisis”; the important phases of photography in the post-industrial revolution in order to achieve self-identity and artistic identity are emphasized. In this sense, the relation between photography and modernism and also its production has been scrutinized and the forms of usage in the postmodernist works that emerged after the developments in the post 1960 period and the processes that make the transition from modernism to postmodernism in art have been emphasized. In addition to this, today with postmodernist axes productions in art representation crisis which causes great debate have been tried to be included
