Öğe Micro Teaching From The Perspective of Physical Education and Sports Teacher Candidates(Gaziantep University, 2024) Karadağ, Öznur; Akbulut, HilalThe teaching profession has an important place in building the future of a society. At this point, teacher training processes become an issue that needs to be examined. In this research, it was aimed to examine the reflections of the microteaching course from the perspective of physical education and sports teacher candidates. The research was conducted with the phenomenology approach, one of the qualitative research designs, and ten physical education and sports teacher candidates taking the microteaching course participated in the research voluntarily. A semi-structured interview form was used as a data collection tool. The data were analyzed with content analysis. As a result of the analysis, teacher candidates' opinions about the microteaching course were collected under the themes of association, feeling and benefit. Under the association theme, there are Camera Lesson, Miniature Teaching, Demo Teaching, Demo Lesson, Small Lesson, Experience-Experience, Short-term Lesson, Applied Lesson codes, while under the feeling theme, there are Authoritarian-Domination, Happy, Curiosity, Excitement, Teacher, Pleasing, Nervous , Comfortable, Self-knowledge codes are included. Under the benefit theme, there are codes: Awareness of Deficiencies, Self-evaluation, Experience, Self-Confidence, Class Control. When the answers given are examined, it is seen that the most stated point by the teacher candidates is gaining experience/experience, and the following is that it makes them aware of their own shortcomings. On the other hand, it seems that the feeling most frequently expressed by teacher candidates is excitement. As conclusion, physical education and sports teacher candidates have positive opinions about microteaching.
