Öğe Metaphors Used by Preschool Teacher Candidates for Gifted Children and Their Opinion of Program Implementations(Mustafa KAHYAOĞLU, 2024) Üşenti, Ülkü Akça; Bektaş, Fethiye Lemis ÖnkolIn this study, a research was conducted with a preservice teacher who took special education courses to reveal the opinions about the metaphors explaning the concept of gifted children and the implementation the curriculum. In order to achieve to the aim, the phenomenological design of the qualitative research method and the metaphor approach were used. Through phenomenology, the metaphors used by preschool teacher candidates about gifted children and their views on the programs to be applied to them were revealed. In the study, fourth grade students who continue their undergraduate education at Okan University, Bolu Abant Izzet Baysal University and Duzce University Preschool Education Programs and have taken special education courses were selected as the study group. The preservice teachers forming the study group were asked questions about the metaphors they use for gifted children and the programs to be applied to children. The answers to these questions were evaluated by content analysis, the results were discussed and suggestions were evaluated by content analysis, the results were discussed and suggestions were made.
