The study population of the research consisted of patients and their relatives who received health services from pharmacies operating in Sakarya city centres. A population-based cross-sectional research design was applied. Frequency analysis, explanatory factor analysis and path analysis techniques were applied to the research data. IBM SPSS 23 V and AMOS package programs were used in the analysis of the data. Functional health literacy levels of individuals has affected their; correct drug use, effective drug use and safe drug use levels in a statistically significantly and positive manner. In addition, it has been determined that the communicative health literacy levels of individuals affected their; correct drug use, effective drug use and safe drug use levels in a statistically significant and negative way.
