Bu kapsamda yerel yönetim, akademisyenler ve yerel halktan oluşan paydaşların görüşleri ve fikirleri doğrultusunda çalışma gerçekleştirilmiştir. Çalışma kapsamında nitel araştırma yöntemi tercih edilerek yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme tekniği ile verilere ulaşılmıştır. Toplanan veriler betimsel analiz ile değerlendirilmiştir. Elde edilen sonuçlarla, yerel yönetim, akademisyenler ve yerel halkın görüşleri bağlamında Akçakoca ilçesinde bir talassoterapi merkezi kurulabileceği belirlenmiştir. Çalışmanın sonunda talassoterapi merkezi ile ilgili araştırmacılara ve işletmelere bir takım önerilerde bulunulmuştur.The aim of this study is to evaluate the feasibility of establishing a thalassotherapy center in Düzce province Akçakoca district within the scope of health tourism. In this context, the study was carried out in line with the opinions of stakeholders consisting of local government units, academicians and local people. In the study, the data were obtained by using the semi-structured interview technique using the qualitative research method. These collected data were evaluated with descriptive analysis. With the results obtained, it has been determined that a thalassotherapy center can be established in Akçakoca district in the context of the views of local government units, academicians and local people.
