Monografik çalışmalar, halk bilimi derlemeleri yoluyla kaybolmaya yüz tutan kültür miraslarını kaydederek unutulmasını engeller, geçmişi geleceğe aktararak kayıt altına alır. Bu çalışma ile Osmanlı'nın kuruluşuna ve Milli Mücadele'ye tanıklık etmiş olan topraklardaki halk kültürü unsurları kayıt altına alınmakla yok olmaktan kurtarılmış, yeni nesillere aktarılmıştır. Çalışmada gözlem, derleme metodu ve yönlendirilmiş mülakat yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Sözlü kaynaklarla yapılan görüşmeler neticesinde halk bilimi çalışma sahasına girebilecek her türlü bilgi ve belge kaydedilmiştir. Folklorik hafıza uygun başlıklar altında derlenmiş ve yedi bölümden oluşturulmuştur. Çalışmayı oluşturan tüm bölümler literatür ile desteklenmiştir.Culture is the totality of the material and spiritual common values of a people and is passed down from generation to generation, thus protecting itself from extinction. Monographic studies record cultural heritages that are about to be lost through folklore compilations, preventing them from being forgotten, and record the past by transferring it to the future. With this study, folk culture elements in the lands that witnessed the foundation of the Ottoman Empire and the War of Independence were recorded, thus saving them from extinction and passing them on to new generations. The study used observation, compilation method and directed interview method. As a result of interviews conducted with oral sources, all kinds of information and documents that could be included in the field of folklore were recorded. Folkloric memory was compiled under appropriate headings and consisted of seven sections.
