Passive power filters have been commonly used to limit the harmonic currents in distribution systems. In this paper firstly harmonic analysis of an industrial system has been done. After the analysis, passive power filter design for limitation of current harmonics and power factor correction is realized taking into consideration IEEE 519-1992 and IEEE Std 18 (TM)-2002 standards. Effectiveness of designed single tuned filters in reducing the harmonic distortions is investigated through computer simulations.
