Methods: 24 feet of 18 patients were operated by the Lindgren-Turan osteotomy. Radiological, functional and pain assessments were applied to all patients. Results: Treatment produced a statistically highly significant difference in the hallux valgus angle and 1.-2.intermetatarsal angle (p<0.001, p<0.001; respectively). Visual analog scale values showed an overall decrease from 6.5±1.19 to 2.0±1.96 following treatment, and there was a statistically highly significant difference in the visual analog scale values (p<0.001). There was a statistically significant difference in the American Orthopaedic Foot-Ankle Society Score before the operations (39.2±14.1) and after the follow-up of (87.1±6.2) (p>0.001). The mean subjective evaluations of the patients were 8.43±0.72. Conclusion: We conclude that Lindgren-Turan osteotomy which revealed successful results on pain, deformity correction and bone healing and also provided high personal satisfaction, is a reliable technique in the surgical correction of hallux valgus. © 2010 Düzce Medical Journal.trinfo:eu-repo/semantics/closedAccessDistal metatarsal osteotomy; Hallux valgus; Lindgren-Turan osteotomyResults of Lindgren-Turan operation in hallux valgus [Hallux valgusta Lindgren-Turan operasyonu sonuçlari]Article1216368Q4
