Students studying at vocational schools of tourism and hotel management in Turkey generated the population of this research. A cluster sampling method was used for this study. A quantitative research method was used in this research and data were collected through using a questionnaire. The data collected were analyzed using the LİSREL 8.7 program from Windows Applications. The results of this research showed that no significant correlation was determined between the personality of students studying tourism at undergraduate level and their perceptions towards the tourism profession. On the other hand, the perceptions of the students towards the tourism profession considerably affect their attitudes related to preferences, whether or not they intended to continue this profession in the future and if they would recommend the profession to others. © Sila Science.
