Bu amaçla, otel işletmelerinde kullanılan bilgi teknolojilerinin işletme performansına etkisi, performans prizması aracılığıyla incelenmiştir. Araştırmada, nitel araştırma yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın evrenini, Konya ilinde faaliyet gösteren Turizm İşletme Belgeli üç, dört ve beş yıldızlı otel işletmeleri oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmada veri toplamak için görüşme tekniği kullanılmıştır. Araştırmaya ilişkin veriler otel işletmelerinin üst düzey yöneticileriyle yapılan yüz yüze görüşmeler sonucunda elde edilmiştir. Elde edilen veriler betimsel analiz yöntemi ile analiz edilmiştir. Araştırma sonucunda; otel işletmelerinde kullanılan bilgi teknolojilerinin rekabet üstünlüğü sağladığı ve bilgi teknolojilerinin performans prizmasını oluşturan, paydaş tatmini, paydaş katkısı, stratejiler, süreçler ve yeterlilikler sağladığı yönündedir. Sonuç olarak bu araştırma, bilgi teknolojilerinin işletme performansına olumlu yönde katkı sağlayabileceğini göstermektedir.The purpose of this research is to investigate the effects of information technologies on business performance. To this end, information technologies used in hotels have been investigated by means of performance prism in hotels. Qualitative research method was used in the research. The population of the research contains three, four and five-star Tourism Business Licensed Hotels in the city of Konya. Interviews were used to collect data. The data of the research were obtained by doing face to face interviews with senior managers of hotels. The data obtained were analyzed by descriptive analysis. Results of this study is that information technologies applied in hotels provides competitive advantage to them and information technologies provides the components of performance prism as stakeholder satisfaction, the contribution of stakeholders, strategies, processes and proficiencies.
