To this end, Riffaterre's (1978) intertextuality theory has been adopted. The findings were based on Aktulum's (2011) definition of allusions. Cultural, scientific and historical allusions have been defined in the novel. In translation analysis, it was found that certain allusions were over-interpreted in the translated product. In the translation analysis, Kasar's (2009) classification of translation evaluation was adopted. (C) 2014 The Authors.
